Founded by Ruben Frias, a Monterrey, Mexico native and award-winning Creative Director, The Empanada Shop brings handcrafted, authentic Mexican empanadas to Artesia Boulevard. What began as a family recipe grew into a brand sold in over 500 stores nationwide before returning home to Redondo Beach, where it now serves organic empanadas, tacos, and tamales alongside its taqueria concept, TAKARIA. From savory birria and chicken ancho to sweet apple pie churro varieties, every empanada is made with real California ingredients and a lot of heart.
